General Description

IN1M101 (Low voltage)/IN1M102 (High voltage)  provides a precise comparator to detect the rectified AC voltage, which could protect the SMPS when AC or DC voltage is low. At the same time, IN1M102 also provides the delay time to noise immunity or delay control. It minimizes the components counts compared to traditional discrete solution and its power consumption is very lower than discrete solution.

Reference dimming

ACD (AC detector)

By using the IN1M101 as AC detector after the absent of AC power. During AC absent, there is a turn-off time of SMPS to discharge the output voltage, however, the system (some chips disable or hand-up) will not be wake-up suddenly during this situation unless pull the power off AC line and recovery from normal condition.
Therefore, it needs an ACD signal directly detect from AC line and output a fault signal to main board to do some actions:
A. Reset (***)。
B. To protect the LED Back-light of display during OFF MODE of AC power offline
C. To restrain the voice cracks of speaker after power shut-down

Description:

1. D1, D2 and Bridge diode as AC rectification to do real time detection

2. Divider of R1 and R2sets the brown out voltage (ex. R1=10M, R2=105K, brown out is around  80Vac rms)

3. C2 is as filter of the lowest of SIM waveform, and as minimum as possible to get more accuracy of delay time

4. C_t sets the brown out delay time (ex. 0.047uF brown out delay time is around 4~5mS)

5. the ratio of R3 and R4 is about  2:1 (suggestion values as 200K/100K)。

6. ACD signal can isolation to secondary side through OPTO IC , and the brown-in delay time sets as C3and R5 (ex : R5=1M, C3=4.7uF brown in delay time is around 4~5mS)
